If Evan's bear could talk....
Hi, I'm G.T.B (aka: Green Teddy Bear). I was mass-produced in China and shipped to the U.S. to bring smiles to kids faces that go to the hospital. I waited and waited for my day to come to the top of the pile and go home with someone! I remember the day so well; I was pulled from the pile with my friends and shoved into the arms of this little guy, Evan. He was SCREAMING and at first he threw me onto the ground (tough crowd) and then. I was shoved into his moms bag. Not quite the welcome I was expecting, but life got better. The little guy took me home and I've been traveling all over his house and school with him ever since!
There are high's and low's to living with Evan. It's great that he takes me places and we have tons of fun, but when this kid throws a tantrum or doesn't listen to his parents or teachers, I'm the one who seems to suffer! The other day he didn't listen to his mom and they threw ME outside into the freezing cold! Apparently that was how they punished Evan for not listening. Pretty sure that I'm the one who froze my butt off because the kid wouldn't listen! Yesterday Evan threw me around his classroom and then I wasn't allowed to take a nap with him at school. I spent nap time shoved into some cubby with Evan's underwear and shoes at school. Not fun.
Evan does take great care of me. He even made me my very own bed! So sweet. This morning I got to pretend I was eating fruit for breakfast. Pretend food is yummy!
Anyway, nice to meet you all. I look forward to sharing more "tales with Evan" in future blog posts. And don't be fooled by the pretty ribbon around my neck; I'm actually a tough bear inside!
