Dear Baby A....8 more weeks!

Dear Baby A,

8 weeks until you arrive.  I can't believe it!  It seems like we just found out you were part of our lives.  Pregnancy with you has actually been a lot easier than with your brother.  I'm hoping that's a sign for life in general when you arrive!

A few things about my experience growing you:

- No cravings.  Actually, I don't have much of an appetite and sometimes have to remind myself to eat small snacks and more with dinner to keep you growing/strong!  I do have an aversion to chicken and sometimes other meat.  Hopefully egg whites and peanut butter provide enough protein!

- You are a VERY active little guy in my belly.  With your brother, the "food source" that keeps you going was in front of him so I didn't feel a lot of movement.  With you, this is where it should be and there isn't any extra padding between you & my skin, so I feel EVERYTHING.  It's amazing.
Yesterday I had to push your foot or knee back because it was protruding from my side.  Your Daddy & I will sit on the couch and watch my belly move.  Daddy says it looks like an alien in my belly.

- Evan likes to touch my belly and talk to you.  He says you're busy in there playing with trucks.  Yep, that's what it feels like sometimes!

- I don't get much time to rest while I grow you since I have to keep up with your very active (to say the least) big brother.  I can't wait until the day the two of you can play together!

- You are a night owl.  You sleep all day and party all night.  Oh boy.....

- I'm still working out a few times a week.  Weight classes, walking, elliptical.  Helping to keep us both in shape!  I haven't gained as much weight as I did with your brother, but something tells me you're going to be a big baby.

We continue to work on your room.  Closet is done, crib & changing table are assembled. I bought myself a rocking chair/glider for my room to feed you on which I'm super excited about.  Now we need to decide how we're going to paint the room.  And more importantly, we need to decide on your name!  What would you like to be called?  Your brother wants to call you Evan or Poop.  I'm not a fan of either of those names, you?

Rest up in my belly Baby A.  You're about to enter a fun, crazy world with your brother Evan!  Evan expects that as soon as you arrive you'll be able to keep up with him.  Good luck!

Love,
Mommy

PS: Yesterday your brother pointed to a blank area on the floor & said "Baby Brother is here Mommy."  Sort of creeped me out.  What does he know that I don't?  And I'm pretty sure I'll know when you're here.....
