Tyler, you're 10 months old now! You've really picked up speed with your crawling, which is more like a gimpy crawl. You'll drag your left leg/foot under you while you push with your right foot extended out to the side. It looks so awkward and uncomfortable, but you get where you need to go! You get into EVERYTHING. As I mentioned before, you put EVERYTHING in your mouth. I just cannot keep the floors clean enough unless I vaccuum/scrub the floor in front of you everywhere you go (like the curling sport, ha!). If I wore a pedometer, I'm sure I would max out the number of steps per day just keeping up with you and Evan.
Waving 'hello' in your picture. Your new skill!
You've learned how to shake your head side-to-side, like you're saying "no," but thankfully you don't know that it means "no" yet.
You're eating more than ever now! Peas are your favorite lately, along with noodles and small sweet potato cubes. As soon as you learned how to feed yourself, you lost interest in all baby food.
You love to feed yourself....and Lucy....
Unfortunately you are on meds right now for your 5th ear infection. You will most likely get ear tubes this summer which will be a good thing. The past few months have been pretty rough with your sleep because your ears make you so uncomfortable. I do love your snuggles, but I'll be ok when I'm sleeping again at 3 a.m. instead of being awak....
We moved you into a bigger car seat to give you more room and because I physically cannot carry the bucket car seat anymore - almost 40 lbs. between you and the seat!
You simply ADORE your big brother and think that everything he does is amazing and hilarious. You'll stare at him in awe and you love when he interacts with you. You two are already best buddies, playing in the sandbox together and splashing me during bath time. You like to see who can scream the loudest which can be super fun for your Daddy and I (I say sarcastically!). Evan calls you "little cutie" and doesn't like when you nap because he wants you to play with him. :) It's so much fun to watch the two of you interact and it always brings a big smile to our faces!
You love the sandbox....and eating sand.....so gross and messy!
You're a little fish and love the water
So this is apparently your pooping tray. Twice this week you've crawled onto it and pooped! The tray has pictures of our family on it.....are you trying to send us a message?! I know, so embarassing that I snapped this pic of you 'in action,' but also so cute!
You love Lucy Lu!
A fun night at the park. You love the swing!
You and big brother at the park. I love how you look at Evan and reach out for him. Brotherly love!
Evan, you continue to amaze (and challenge) us every day. You're doing GREAT at school and love Miss Sara and the other teachers there. In music class you'll play instruments and often dance around.
I say challenge because raising a 3 year old is hard work...and non-stop. Sometimes I feel like I'm arguing with myself because you are JUST LIKE ME when you get stubborn or don't get your way. *sigh*.......
You still love to read books in reader's chair at school. On the way to school the other day, you said "Mom, sometimes kids don't listen to me when I'm in reader's chair." I said "Well, you let Miss Sara handle that." You replied "No, I'll handle that." Oh boy......
You're famous for your paper airplanes with all the classes at your school. Kids will ask you to make an airplane for them or for you to teach them how to make one. Your airplanes are impressive. Very detailed, straight, sharp folds; perfect airplanes. You won't settle for anything less! You are our Type A, first born child, that's for sure! If you make an airplane that you don't like, you'll crumple it up, sigh, and throw it away. If you're teaching someone else how to make a plane and they aren't doing it "your way," you get frustrated, sigh, and offer to make the plane for them. Ha! Seriously though, your airplanes are awesome.
You are really into making little books and drawing pictures in them. You'll take paper from my office printer, cut out little squares and ask me to staple them into a book for you. Then together we will illustrate and narrate your book. You love to tell us exactly what to draw, how it should look, and also when we aren't doing a good job. When we see you coming at us with little pieces of paper and a marker, we run the other way (ha! Just kidding, but sometimes you can be pretty tough with your feedback when you don't like what we draw. The other day you asked me to draw you a boat and made it very clear that I am HORRIBLE at drawing boats!). Submarines, dragons, cars, boats, train and cars are what you love to draw, talk about, read about and play with.
You're doing great with the alphabet and recognizing letters already. You can point out letters when we read books. You can write your name and almost all letters in the alphabet. It's amazing to see you learn something new every day!
After dinner one night we headed out for an ice cream & park adventure. It's fun to stay up late in the summer!
Trying to teach Daddy how to swing on his belly
Firefighter visit at school!
Father's Day at the park with Daddy
You now ride a real bike with training wheels! It's actually the bike I learned to ride when I was little. We've taken it to the park trail and around the block and you're doing great on it and building leg strength!
A little fish you drew. So cute.
Racing cars with your buddy Kellan
I love this picture. Boys will be boys....in awe staring at the garbage truck.
You are a very handsome little man!
I love you both so much!
