BAHAMAS (part 1)

April 2016

This past Spring, we took a family trip to the BAHAMAS for a super fun vacation, and to visit Aunt Karen, Uncle Mark and Adam!!

The boys loved everything about traveling - of course the planes just amaze them!

"Mom, I'll help Tyler get onto the plane, I've been on a plane a lot" (which is true, he really has!)

Let the flight fun begin!

Immediately jumped in the pool when we arrived.  Such an amazing pool Karen & Mark have!! Look at that view!

Just 2 hours into our visit, Mr. Tyler goes teeth first into some wood stairs and kills his front baby tooth :(

Tooth all fixed up and ready to play again!!

Albany. An amazing club that Karen & Mark belong to and we went to a few times during our trip.  This is only a small part of the beautiful club we enjoyed!  The kids were in heaven!

Pool fun with Aunt Karen & Adam

Family swimming time!

More water slides!!

And a beautiful beach!

Gorgeous.

Adam was such a good cousin / "big brother" while we visited.  The boys adored him!

Back to the waterpark :)

Peaceful, morning view - Tyler still woke early on our trip but it was fine given we had this view & a pool!

Ocean canal with their deck/dock and water toys!

Waiting for our next island adventure - taking a boat out to ANOTHER island for the day

Tyler's best friend, Aunt KAARREEEENNN!

The boys loved the boat!

Entering the island

Island fun - lots of water toys for all ages!

That's Evan way out there on the water trampoline

And climbing

And the best part of the island?....DOLPHINS!!!  This was such an awesome experience.  We got to really experience the dolphins, get in the water with them, hold them, kiss them!  So cool.  Tyler clung to me the whole time!

The breakfast club :)  LOL grumpy Tyler

Breakfast followed by a morning swim!

Adam is so cool....he fishes!  Sorry Adam, there's not quiet/calm fishing with E & T around....

And back to the pool!  Love these pics of Evan's various jumping poses!

OOPS, wasn't ready for that one, hahahaha

Shhh....Mommy time

Albany is amazing.  And even more amazing because they have a kids DAYCARE!!  Erik & I spent an afternoon in the adults only part of the club.  Heavenly, quiet, perfect.

I could stay here forever.

Erik, Adam & Evan went diving for sand dollars - it was a success!

Mr. T riding a horse on the beach, he was so cute!

"WE LOVE IT HERE!!!"

Same location for James Bond famous beach scene....Erik looks identical, right?!  :)

Part 2 coming soon.....

Zehnder's Splash Village

During the dead of winter in Michigan, when you're dreaming of the beach, warm water, and sunshine, the next best thing is an indoor water park!  We took our first adventure to Zehnder's Splash Village this winter and the boys had a blast!  Our friends the Zak's who also have 2 sweet, wild boys, went with us.  It was a fun, sleep deprived weekend, and our first hotel experience with the kiddos.

Sleepover buddies!

Silly faces / super hero moves

I think they went around the lazy river 200x in the 2 days we were there

Tyler loved the slide.  "Again! Again!"

Such a fun weekend with these cuties / great friends!  My eyes burn from all the chlorine / bleached water but we will be back again next year!

Mother/Son Dance 2016

Evan & I attended our 2nd Mother/Son dance in February with a group of our friends.  This year Evan was quite the dance machine!  Dinner before was pretty chaotic with a group of 5-6 year olds and once the boys made it to the dance, they were ready to run wild!

My handsome date

The boys.  They didn't sit next to each other for long....I had to sit in the middle to keep them from misbehaving!

This quiet activity lasted about 2 minutes

One chocolate milk down.....

Selfies with my date, and our awesome group!
Evan & Grayson trying out "selfies" for the first time
Evan was a HIT on the dance floor!  Sliding, rolling, spinning!

2 chocolate milks and countless cookies later...

I have no idea...

The big event of the night - BALLOON DROP!

At this point I had no idea where Evan was....

Balloon drop success!  The boys were pretty tired by this point!

Evan, I look forward to more Mother/Son Dances with you!  I think Tyler will have to join us next year!  :)

On a side note, this dance was during Valentine's Day weekend.  Here's the Valentine I gave Erik this year:
