Our First Dance!

Evan & I went to our first mother/son dance this spring!  It was less of a dance and more of a room of crazy boys under the age of 6.  A survey went out asking for feedback and my friends & I replied "need to have a bar for the moms next year," ha!

We went with 5 of my moms club friends and their little guys and enjoyed dinner then the dance.  A fun, crazy, action packed night!

Our dates for the night!

Evan was practicing his dance moves.  Just like his Daddy!

The chocolate fountain was a huge hit....and fountain of germs.  I saw a LOT of double/triple dipping, LOL.

Evan & his buddy Kellan hittin' the dance floor.  When I asked Evan to dance with me, he said "Um, no mom."  What!?  :(

No, my phone was not out of focus.  These two crazies were FLYING around the dance floor and this is the best pic I could snap!

These pictures still make me laugh!  Yes, that's Evan.

I'm pretty sure "Uptown Funk" was playing for this one.  His fav song.

Dance floor selfie!

Chaos.

And that about sums up the night!  Ha!

I love you Evan & look forward to more mommy & son moments like this!  XO

March & April 2015

It's July 9th and I'm now blogging about March & April!  Where does time go?!  Oh that's right, to my two BUSY little boys!

We are SOO thankful winter is OVER and the snow is off the ground.  Despite the cold this winter, we still managed to get outside every chance we could, bundled up with hats, a coat and gloves.  We made it to the zoo in March & April a few times which was great.  Lots of indoor exhibits to keep us entertained!

I'm so thankful I live in the digital / cell phone days because I can go back through my pictures and recall all the memories and document them for the boys.  :)

Doesn't care that there is snow on the ground, it's always baseball season for Tyler!  This kid LOVES balls...

Two hands? That means two baseballs!

Impressive throw Tyler!  You must have learned that from me ;)

Green Bear was lost (or he ran away) for over 2 months...it was rough.  Then one day, we found him!  Best Day Ever for Evan!

St. Patrick's Day party with Mr. T and Moms Club.  He would glue a fruit loop to the paper then pull it off and eat it....

"Mom, I'm working on my masterpiece. Don't steal my fruit loops or marshmallows! No time for pictures."

First trip to the zoo in March, all bundled up.  Evan, what is up with your weird smile!?

Face painting at the zoo Easter event.  Tyler kept giggling because it tickled.

Evan's precious smile when he saw his bunny face; so cute!

My Easter bunnies!

Our friends came with us to the zoo

We spent all morning walking by cool zoo animals but the boys spent the most time staring at a worm on the sidewalk....boys will be boys!

The Easter bunny came to our house!

Evan decorated his room for Easter

Tyler, are you awake?!

Our sweet family, Easter 2015

I think we had about 10 Easter egg hunts in April.  The kids love them!

Tyler is on a mission.  He thought the eggs were balls of course....

The best we could do at a picture of the 3 cousins!

The Easter bunny is so creepy....I mean seriously, a giant bunny brings a basket to our house?  What?!  Anyway, Evan is over his fear of the Easter bunny finally (haha) as you can see by his smile below.

Tyler, however, not diggin' the bunny....

I imagine Tyler is saying "Who the heck are you, you creepy bunny?  No, I will NOT sit on your lap!"

We celebrated Erik's birthday with his favorite, a cookie cake!

Now for some random pictures I pulled off my phone from March & April:

Tyler & his monkey.  I love watching him sleep....maybe it's because he's not moving and I'm not chasing him, ha!

Some of Evan's drawings.  He's so artistic & creative!

#BOYMOM  - Evan loves paper airplanes!

And Legos....

And Tyler?  Well, we all know he loves balls.  This picture pretty much sums up a day in the life of Tyler...and me.  I picked these up from the main floor of our house before nap one day.  17 balls.  That's the average he plays with in just half the day!  As you can see, he is fan of all sports.  We're just missing a tennis ball but that's probably because he's holding it while I take this picture.

Ah, the joys of shopping with 2 kids.  I am now "that mom" who pushes this beast around the store.  This could also be an ad for why moms drink (LOL) with the Corona display in the background, hehe.

"Mom, Tyler is thirsty."  Brotherly love.

This kid can eat!

Evan played soccer this spring and did a great job!

We celebrated Madelyn's 2nd birthday and the boys had a blast at her cowboy party!

When we moved back to Michigan, we knew the winters here were brutal, but we still manage to make the most of it with the boys and keep busy.  Sometimes too busy!  I like to call it "making memories."  :)
