Love our Nia & Guh visits!

The hardest thing about leaving CO?  Leaving our best buddies, Nia & Guh.  We are so blessed to have friends that embrace our kids like they are their own.  We're lucky they come back to MI so much and make time to see us!  Evan gets super excited when they come to visit too!

Love this action shot of Greg, Evan and Lucy!

Silly times!

This picture cracks me up!  G & C, you look great.  Look how funny the kids are!

Evan & Tyler, these are the two faces you'll see everytime you get into trouble (and we have to scold you), go on a date (and we interrogate the girls), when you go to college (and we're in the car, crying), and any time you need ANYTHING!

BFF's

Catching up with Mr. T

Dear Baby Tyler,

Months 8-9 have FLOWN by!  So fast that I forgot to take an 8 month picture for you.  Sorry sweet boy!  I have a lot of pics of you but forgot to get one with your little sign.  We joke sometimes that you're "baby #2" but I never want you to feel that way.  You know what that means, Tyler?  You're probably going to get away with a lot more than Evan because our attention is so much more divided now.  ;)  That doesn't give you permission to get away with things, just trying to put a positive spin on my forgetfulness.  The good news about being kid #2?  We learned our mistakes with Evan and will try to do better on some things with you (note: I said "some!").

We're spending a lot of time outdoors now that we have warm weather.  Natural vitamin D is a lot better for you than the oil I drop into your milk.  I'm glad for the warmer weather because it also means I finally have clothes for you to wear.  When we were in Colorado in March & April, Evan was already wearing shorts.  So when it came time for you to wear the same clothes, they were way too cold for you!  But, you're also much bigger than your brother so you're wearing his old 12 month summer clothes already.  Wow!  Stop growing!  9 month pants are like capris on you.

Here's what you've been up to the past 2 months:
- Started eating "puffs"; little puffy crackers that pretty much dissolve the second they hit your tongue.  They help you grab little things and figure out that your hand can put food (not just toys) in your mouth).
- We're expanding your culinary palate with more homemade food.  Your new fav is mango, banana oatmeal with chia seeds.  Gotta throw in protein when we can!  Sometimes I eat your food.  It's tasty!
- Still sleeping well.  You'll wake around 3 or 4 a.m. sometimes but eventually you fall back asleep.  Maybe you had a bad dream?  Or did Evan throw some toys in your crib before bed and you woke and thought a stuffed dinosaur was attacking you?
- Crawling: you started with army crawling and within 2 weeks moved on to this one legged "gimpy" crawl (as I call it).  You keep one of your legs bent and underneath you while the other one does all the work.  Crawling for mommy means I have to vacuum and clean our floors daily!  You will pick up the tiniest thing and try to eat it.  Things I can't even see!
- You put EVERYTHING in your mouth.  EVERYTHING.  The little rubber stopper on the door stopper, paper, lint, rocks, flowers, sand, etc.  EVERYTHING.  I dig things out of your mouth several times a day, thankfully catching you right before you're about to choke.  I can't take my eyes off you for even a second.
- Playing catch: you'll throw a ball and then I'll roll it back to you and you throw it again.  Adorable!
- You love your older brother.  He walks (well, more like stomps/runs/jumps) into a room and you'll start laughing or starring at him wondering what he's doing.
- You're starting to copy what Evan does.....like in the bathtub, you watched Evan try to dump a cup of water out of the tub a few times.  And then you tried to do it too!  I couldn't believe it!  Discipline has started already, Mr. Tyler!
- Spitting: you love to make spitting/farting noises with your mouth.....especially WHILE you are eating.  Yes, with a mouth full of food, you'll make these "sweet" noises and cover the entire kitchen with food.  Then Evan will start making the same noise and it's just so pleasant!  ;)
- Grinding your teeth: your top 2 teeth are STILL dropping down.  I can see the holes where they are supposed to be.  It looks painful!  Somehow you still manage to grind your top and bottom teeth though.  It's like nails on a chalkboard and is so painful to hear.  Maybe it feels good for your teething?  We'll never know!  I know that we do need to start brushing your teeth.  See, we learned our mistakes with Evan and will start on your teeth much earlier.
- More babbling: you continue to expand your "vocabulary" with your cute babbles, laughs and chatter.  You talk a lot more lately...and a lot louder than you used to be.  Probably your way of trying to be heard with all the commotion that goes on in the house!

You started going to school one day a week so that I can have one solid day to get work done.  I miss you a lot but it's great for you to interact with other kiddos.  On your first day, you were so curious about another child's hair....this child had A LOT of hair; very thick and puffy.  You couldn't keep your hands out of it!  It was hilarious to watch how mesmerized you were with it.  Probably saying "wow, you have a lot of hair.  Where do I get hair?  I have almost none."

A typical day with you & your brother!

Baby bath tub pics are adorable!

Sunning yourself at the pool

This is what real sleep looks like.  I'm envious.  You were so tired that you fell asleep while I was feding you and I slowly moved you to my bed.  Then I sat next to the bed while you slept because I didn't want you to roll off!

Evan was trying to get you to "match" your feet to his

You LOVE balls.  We have them all over the house now and you love to throw them, push them, crawl after them, throw them to Lucy, eat them, etc.

A fun day at the park.  Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Robertson for the cute shoes!

You sat still long enough for me to snap a pic and then you tumbled right out of this chair.

This sums up meal time....

Love watching you sleep

"I'm awake!!"

Happy 7, 8, and 9 month birthday Mr. T, Mr. Snuggles, Baby T.  WE LOVE YOU!!
